I have very few religious beliefs and none that step on anyone else's toes. I believe everyone should be able to have his or her beliefs in peace and that, once those beliefs start to threaten the well-being and safety of others, then those beliefs should be criticized and even prohibited.

As for the line you quoted, my entire line of posting was facetious in response to someone who apparently believes that divine intervention led to Mel Gibson's movie.

I respect everyone's beliefs. However, I abhor movies that attempt to accent differences and to stir up hatred towards others. I will continue to make fun of those who believe that a deity told Mel Gibson, rather than the hatred he was taught by his worldly father. If there is a deity, he no doubt believes that all are his children and that any interpretation of "His" word that brings danger and derision to others is plainly a wrong belief and not one that He would wish.
