nations under attack (more each day, it seems)
Yes. Bushs unilateral turn in the "War on Terror" doesn't seem to be effective. The Iraq adventure evolves to be the failure most experts predicted: increasing terrorism.

Concentration camp now has the implications of death.
Prison is a more accurate term.

A prison without accusation, lawyer, sentence, etc. is pretty much the defintion of a concentration camp.

apply their best people and ideas to prevent attacks and identify terrorists. And that means better intelligence, cooperation, and fast response teams.
Yes. That's the way to go. In the case of islamic fundamentalism, we need support by Islamic leaders to be successful. So careful diplomacy, avoiding obvious double standards and no mixup of special interests and hidden agenda is essential.

It's not a war, it's more policeman/intelligence work. The endless talk about the war is not helpful. We should act decisively, but with rather low profile. Don't give the terrorists the arena they want.

It would be preferable if the UN or equivalent could set some rules for response teams.
Another good point. Credible cooperation is the only way to go. We can't afford a second unilateralitic attack on the UN.
