I have no need for those who are bigoted and motivated to defend hatred to be my friends, either in the real world or online.

I have no hatred for anyone who firmly believes and uses any religious belief to spread what should be the first precept of religion. That is, that we are all brothers, and look for answers by many names. If we've learned anything from history, it is that religious dogma has killed more people than just about anything else. Hatred is so deep. Why the need to encourage it?

One can take lines from the Old Testament, the New Testament, the Koran, etc., and find 1) reasons to feel superior and to hate others and 2)reasons to attack the book and those who believe. One can also read each of the above tomes and find 1)peace 2)love 3)understanding towards all peoples.

If one wants to make a movie that accents the differences and encourages hate, that's the filmmaker's right. However, commentary is sorely needed to define the motivation and to rebut the idea that a deity encouraged an interpretation that fosters hatred.

Doesn't it make sense that if there is a Deity, that Deity would encourage an interpreation of His word that fosters peace, love and understanding?
