I got a D-link router (DI-604)and continue to use Zone Alarm. Nothing like being safe. The router works great and without the need to load PPPoE connectivity software in my computer more RAM is available for surfing. Life was good!

However, now a favorite web site will no longer connect:

htguide.com

The webmaster there says he knows they have a "problem" with this D-Link router but the LinkSys stuff they use works just fine. How can there be a difference between routers? Isn't a router a router a router? Without the router I connect to this web site OK. Another D-Link user told me that he also cannot connect to this web site via IE, Opera, NS7.1 and NS4.79 BUT he can connect with AOL. Go figure. . . .

Do any of you folks use a D-Link router? Would you try to connect to this site and let me know what happens? Your experience would help me discuss this with the HTGuide.com web master.

Help from D-link Tech Support can't seem to zero in on what I say is the problem. Help from the HTguide.com fellow only implies they are not going to worry about the fact that one of their possible users can't connect.

I have gone through clearing my cache, removing cookies, clearing the history file, moving MTU down from 1492 to 1402, all to no avail. I use NS7.1 with the latest version of Java.

Does anyone have any ideas of what the problem might be or can they point me to a good web site that provides answers to this type of connection problem?

Sorry for the long rant but this stuff is frustrating.
