Too bad you left the Church 43 years ago! Else you would have read some church history and discovered that, yes, Christians have killed lots of innocent folks, too. Besides the Crusades, there was the Inquisition in Europe, and religious persecutions. Also, the Spaniards slaughtered lots of innocent women and children in Central America and in South America. The colonial Christian powers of Britain, France and the Netherlands slaughtered lots of folks in South-East Asia and also in India and in Africa and the Christian Americans killed lots of people in the Philippines. The British also slaughtered lots of natives in Australia and south sea islanders of the Pacific. And Christian Englishmen tried to weaken and destroy the Chinese with opium in the last century. Closer to home, in North America, native Indians were slaughtered big time by Christian "whities". In the early days of America, the Indian population of Massachusetts was wiped out and in some states, a bounty was placed on the head of every Indian. Whitie Christians killed black slaves like they were animals and there was no tomorrow. You didn't know all these facts because the white folks know that their past records are not lily-white and they don't want to embarrass themselves by "advertising" or admitting they had been such cruel and monstrous folks!!! And so, in your ignorance, you thought the Christians of the past were such good folks, and that Moslems were villains and murderers all through history. Lorne, get a life and get real! You know, folks are noe ha-ha-ing at your ignorance and silliness. Go back to night school and bone up on your history. You didn't know all that because you have had a very poor education. I am beginning to wonder if you ever graduated from high school. I suppose they gave you a school leaving cert because you happened to be the oldest kid who had spent the most time in the country school of your village? Stop badmouthing the Moslems. Despite your reminding others that Moslems are this and that bad etc & etc, folks are not listening to you and terrorism continues to rear its ugly head and wreak havoc on lives and property. Lorne, face facts for once. Face it that you have failed badly in trying to influence others that Moslems are baddies. Folks are not listening to you 'cause you have no credibility to begin with. They know you are some folks' "useful idiot". You keep parroting biased sources of news and when challenged, all you do is blink, blink and blink and blink and blink and blink and blink and get flustered all over and feeling miserable and dejected. There are far better things for you to do than to suffer stress and grief here. For example, you may start by raising more sheep and producing more lamb meat and then giving some of it to the Jihadists. They will, I am sure, love you for your generosity and, in time, stop killing people. <VBG & LOL> If this is not your style, you should personally go into Jihadist territory and blow things and Jihadists up like a Rambo. You know, action speaks louder than words!!!
