I know all that. It doesn't change anything. By the time Grey Davis realized what was happening (that we were being completely ripped off by organized Texas bandits) Clinton was on his way out and Bush on his way in. The new FERC would not help. The old FERC wasn't much help either and was a lame duck. Bush-Cheney told us then we needed 1300 new power plants to stop the crisis. Cheney's dream come true. But a week after Jeffords switched parties we had an energy glut. Why? Dems had subpoena powers and were going to go after the Bush-Cheney energy cabal. if not for 9-11 there would have been a huge investigation. Then Bush used the Iraqi War to take back the senate. No more subpoena powers.
