Frankly, I don't think it matters to al Qaeda. President Bush, they know and hate. Senator Kerry, says that he'll make them a greater focus of his, than the President (not to mention, that his Party was in power, when al Qaeda declared war on the United States, or the fact that the Senator has Jewish blood running through his veins).

those are my thoughts also. IF there is a terrorist attack, Bush will go to war again with a big smile on his face.

A terrorist attack will practically ensure a Bush victory. The terrorists would like that also cause their cause will grow again. Bush is good for terrorists as they have plenty of new recruits and plenty of new fronts on which to fight. The AMerican soldiers are far easier pickings on the streets of Baghdad.

IMO you are on target. In the case of Spain, France etc., they have large Socialist voting blocs. I'm thankful that is not the case her. Although, quite a few thread posters sound pretty socialist to me.

The terrorists have killed 200 people and defeated the government -- they have achieved all their objectives," said Gustavo de Arustegui, a PP member of parliament and foreign policy spokesman for the government. "I think the terrorist attacks were politically planned," he said. "We have transformed terrorists into political actors with this."
