lol,
rooo222,
windows computer have also been known to network without you knowing it. With file sharing on and outlook express, I would say it's networking functions are unlimited.

<<do sun micros systems "network" better than others? i have one running windows and it seems to "network" just fine...>>

ahh, you may finally start getting it. yes, sunw's machines do network better because they only have one engine (i.e., server) as opposed to msft/citrix way of doing it with a engine (i.e., pc at ever location).

in about 80% of all applications all you need is a sun ray and there for you have to keep only the server engine running. sun rays have better security, better reliability, are cheaper to install and maintain, and are as fast as the internet connection they run on.

to me, a sun ray type of device is much better than the pc type of device for a networked world. msft will migrate towards this model if they can figure out how to maintain revenue and profit share. i do not see how they can do it and maintain their monopoly position. under this scenario, the pc's product lifecyle is quickly topping out.
