We had another similar scandal here in Westport with Stew Leonard, the guy who owns the fabulously successful chain of grocery stores in the CT/NY area (see: stewleonards.com. He was convicted of skimming $17 million in profits from the company, often taking sacks of cash out of the country that he didn't declare. He served about four years for tax fraud. Nevertheless, people still shopped at his stores. The employees were always nice, the place had animatronics that kept kids amused, and they had piles of fresh produce, bread, milk, and the like. So I think that as long as the Martha Stewart product line is appealing to customers, her name being on it will be absolutely no impediment to people buying it.
