Truly sad.

I can't imagine how any American of any political persuasion could consider this a Good Thing. Such a conspicuous act of caving in to terrorists is not a healthy sign. We would have better off had Spain not participated in Iraq in the first place.

What about Spanish troops in Afghanistan? The AQ tape spoke of both Iraq and Afghanistan.

I know Spain has troops there (as part of NATO) because last year a plane crashed in Turkey while flying some back home.
