Rattlesnake story- long story, short snake Last week I decided to tow a light solar panel 20 feet with my Cub Cadet garden tractor. Since I had some spare MBZ wheels, I had replaced the worn back tires with those. Being a very light panel, I tied the rope to the seat instead of the tractor hitch since that was easier to do. However the panel caught on tree and the entire tractor rotated backwards 180 degrees as I bailed out to safety. Was lucky- right? So I looked at where the panel was lying and saw a 12 inch rattler, headed for my ditch. I got a can of gas and doused the ditch with gas and lit it. In my excitement and some pain I had forgotten that the ditch contained my water line to the pond, an electric power cable, and two 4 inch plastic drainage pipes. So the local dried grass burned, ten feet of drainage pipe burned and the plastic water line sprung a leak. But I probably got the snake. And again I was lucky, as the leaking water line put out the fires. I am going to see the doctor in about an hour, to ask him what causes the pain in my leg and why my left foot has turned kind of brown. It wasn't the rattler, as I never got closer than 3 feet. Must have bruised a leg while jumping off the tractor. I dont think its broken. Sig@lucky.com
