Almost all non C+W and Christian musicians will want to join Kerry now, but he is being very picky. So many of them have histories of drug busts etc. Peter Yarrow played for JK in Iowa and got Jk in a little trouble with a pot joke. JK won't repeat those mistakes. Carole King travels with him a lot. She is very benign. Moby also got JK in a little trouble with some harsh words. You have to watch which musicians you allign yourself with. Remember Sinatra and JFK and Sinatra's mob ties? Concerts though are an important way of raising money when GW is so far ahead.
