John Re..Yes, and no. They ran on a platform of removing the troops from Iraq. Yes they did. However, the Socialists were losing in the polls big time, on that issue. The Socialists were behind the PP by 3-5%. Statistically, that is too close to call although it was expected the PP would win.......but not by a landslide. The reason........the economy had improved considerably under PM Anzar just like has here. Oh wait, I forgot......the economy continues to be in the dumper here.
