Totally agree. I am pissed off today at the spain bashing on the right. We should have been carrying candles and praying and not sending pointed critiques.
I think it very important that France takes the lead in the european effort against al qaeda. Perhaps we can have some unity in this effort between europe and the US and in Iraq start policy from today forward and put the differences between us behind us. We didnt win in iraq as we thought but it is a good thing saddam is gone is a good basis for reconciliation and perhaps an effective internationalization of the effort. First step can be for the UN/NATO/france to ask Spain to stay for awhile. That would be a powerful signal to the terrorists. mike
