An employer DOES NOT have to "give" those benefits. But, in a capitalist system, smart employers provide at least some benefits so as to employ the best of the candidates.

However, in Government jobs, we have so many laws and unions, that the entire system of "State/Federal jobs and benefits that come with the jobs" need to be completely revised.

Edit: Don't forget....the Government DOES NOT create a single new dollar. It TAKES dollars from its citizens.

I believe the Government employs more than 50% of the total employees in the marketplace. This is a BIG problem.
