Who cares about the "majority" of the world though as a comparison for the USA quality of life. We are an industrialized nation with no healthcare and poor public schools. Of course Indians and Chinese are going to see this as a panacea but did anybody bother to ask if they would rather come to the US vs. Canada or Australia or UK? The US has an extensive visa program including work visas which open the floodgates for immigration. Europe doesn't allow this, so that Doctor from India has the USA as his only western option for immigration.
