Some mourn for America where dissent is a sigh of treachery. I've no idea whether the assertions about Mrs. K. are true - my instinct is that they are not - but wouldn't it be great if a rich person could sponsor a wide range of causes without this sort of McCarthy like scrutiny? And the President's wife is able to be free of restraint. Surely the country is grown up enough in the 21st Century? I guess if one gives money to a church which is against war one falls into the same category as supporting an anti-war organisation?
