Perspective from an Italian poster on a gun board.

"Maybe it is too early to say, but I think that USA had just lost another "ally" and they will be more lonely in their struggle against terrorism.

I expect a "domino effect" if Spanish troops are going to be withdrawn from Iraq.

I think that Al Qaeda learned from Spain a HUGE lesson and that before US election Al Qaeda will hit again USA, to favour Kerry election as US President.

Observing from the other bank of Atlantic Ocean: Europe yet didn't realize that a crucial option has been reached: not having unity and a common strategy, the only choice remained now is to became a US colony or to fall in the hands of Islamic rulers. The culture of freedom and independence has left Europe long time ago. If fought today, Lepanto would be a Islam victory.

The only ally of USA that is still fighting the same battle is Israel. Europe is ready to sell Israel to the Arabs in order to appease the terrorists and to keep the threat out of Europe territory. A bombskill like Madrid in any city of Europe will make demagogists to put their finger to the Middle East issue, and they will push to solve the question despite US policy and Israel survival. Our politicians would do EVERYTHING to gain consensus, including selling their own mother.

I guess is time to emigrate or to learn how to pray five times a day leaning toward Mecca..."
