Good post. Yes, the WH should have simply admitted to faulty intelligence and being influenced by expatriates with an axe to grind (Chalabi, INC), but pointed out they had at least and at last toppled a genocidal dictator.

And getting the gov't involved in the stemcell issue was seriously stupid and motivated by religion and simply gave the iniative in a major research and future business area to foreign competitors. And gay marriage should be a state issue, with each state given the option of recognizing or not recognizing same-sex marriages made in other states.

It follows a very familiar pattern. That is, when politicians say, "tax simplification, rollback, adjustment, rebalance, etc., etc.," it means "grab your wallet."
LOL!!! I hate it when they "simplify" the tax code!

I think most of us now that when a politician wants to raise taxes on the "super wealthy," he defines that term as you and me and everyone else who has to bust his hump to support his family and that person on government benefits or that government employee that should be my dependent.
Yes. I'm wealthy. I had NO IDEA that was true till the gov't told me.
