One, almost none of those out of work is a retired multi-millionaire! Your comment is reminiscent of the infamous "if they can't have bread, let them eat cake!" remark from history.

Two, even during the Great Depression, 75% of the folks were employed. And in those days, they didn't torture the statistics as they do now.

Three, if the unemployment rate now is about the same as it was 4 years ago or 8 years ago, then why is the jobs question so important only this time around?
