Give me a set of examples where you think Kerry could do worse than Bush. See my post to Chin. The problem is that we don't know what Kerry would do. We know what he says, but we also know that his mind changes a lot. I want to see, as I said to Chin, what he has actually done. He has never been the chief elected officer of so much as a small town, so we have no idea how he would manage, what sorts of people he would surround himself with, etc. Some or many of his veteran friends from the anti-war movement are apparently very involved in his campaign; would he involve some of them closely in an administration? What legislative initiatives has he introduced or sponsored, whether or not they have passed, to show what his legislative principles are? We know he voted for most of the recent major Bush legislation, such as the Iraq war resolution and no child left behind. So on those, there's no major difference between them (difference of style and approach and technique, perhaps, but not of principle.) But basically, what does his actual record show? That speaks a lot louder to me that what he utters now as campaign promises, which as we all know are just words blowin' in the wind. On both sides.
