I don't know, he had a shitload of Soviet weapons from chrome-plated AK-47's to T-84 tanks and then a few Mirage F-1's. Didn't see any M16's or M1 Abrams, Blackhawks, F-18's, F-15's. Looks like it was the French and the Russians, maybe the Chinese for a few missile parts. It wasn't us that appeased their appetite for nuclear stuff.

I don't think anyone, even the Russians and French much cared about the Iranians. They must be appeasers too by your standards, in fact the rest of the world was "appeasing" equally.

When push came to shove and Saddam wanted Kuwait, we didn't appease so your claim is pretty lame. We had to drag the world kicking and screaming into restoring a little country like Kuwait......and we were the only ones that could. The rest of the world would have appeased, no doubt.....and you know it.

Iranians took American hostages....we tend not to like that. We weren't appeasing Saddam--it was a case of "the enemy of my enemy..."
