thats ridiculous. Quality of life surveys routinely put Europe above the USA. USA ranks VERY POORLY consistently in: access to healthcare, violence, elementary education.

Here is one with top 10 cities: Zuich,Geneva,Vancouver,Vienna,Auckland,Bern,Copenhagen,Frankfurt,Sydney,Amsterdam,Munich

Worldwide 2004 Quality of Life City Rankings

Mercer Human Resource Consulting’s overall quality of life survey has revealed that Zurich and Geneva are the world’s top-scoring cities, with 106.5 points. Geneva moves up from second place last year (score 106) and pushes Vancouver down a place (score 106). This move takes account of Geneva’s schools, where standards of education, both in public and private schools, are now rated among the best in the world.

The socialist health care system does have flaws. A friend's son is recuperating in Australia from a serious accident and while he is receiving very good care, the father was telling me last night that it took 3 days for a cat scan to be done...he kept on getting bumped...they do not have as many pieces of equipment their so scheduling backs up significantly at times for certain procedures.

Makes the diet aspect tough because of not being able to eat prior to it. Our care here is exceptional.
