Have you noticed all these offers for $50 gift certificates? I bit on one of these. Now it is true that I now have an American Express card with a $17,500 limit on it and no charges and certain rebates. But all I really wanted was $50 at Home Depot. To gte the $50 Home Depot certificate I had to: 1. Apply for ther Amex Credit card. 2. Charge something on the Amex Card. 3. Pay for what I charged. 4. Specially request my $50 certificate. 5. Get a code word for my certificate. 6. Send in BY US POSTAL MAIL a signed printout of the code sheet. 7. WAIT The $50 certificate has not come yet. The whole process began about two months ago.
