That's curry. And it always prompts someone who's smelled it before to chant (in English), "Houses that smell will not sell."

On the AE channel there is a show called "Sell This House".

It's a show where a team goes in to certain houses that have inexplicably not sold and fix them up for sale.

We Tivo this show, and I highly recomend it, not because of the show but because of the hostess of the show Tanya Memme....ooo la la!

aetv.com

They also recommend you bake cookies or brownies prior to having people tour your house, makes logical sense to me....

TheStockFairy, RE: sambar etc / your wife

An Indian lady said miscarriage rates are higher in India because of the spicy Indian food they eat. She said spicy Indian food tends to cleanse the body, and so apparently it is commonly known by wealthier Indian women to avoid spicy foods in the first 3 to 4 months, as a way to reduce the miscarriage rate.

Amazing.

I personally think the issue is more related to their diet's lack of iron since meat isn't commonly eaten in India.

But maybe you should seriously avoid purchasing that house, at least until your wife has safely delivered. Good luck to you both.

Regards,
Amy J
