Maybe that's at least part of the problem. How do you think Muslims reacted when Tom Delay went to Israel and told the Israelis that we were behind them 100%, and in fact, pledged US resources and support beyond what Bush was willing to pledge; to suggest that Israeli/US futures were tied inextricably? Delay's evangelism is what motivated his trip and his presentation.

Christianity and Islam may be both evangelical but you got to remember who's holding most of the cards.
