i doubt it will be as bad living there. obviously most of what you smell is floating in the air from current cooking, not embedded in the walls. but maybe you should ask the opinion or services of some type of smell removal expert (more housing-boom beneficiaries?). there are probably standard procedures for removing cigarette stench and such. find out in advance of purchase how much it will cost and maybe adjust your offer accordingly?
