You are substantiating my point. Perhaps. I don't claim any background on this subject. I think the author's point was that some terrorist organizations weaken under the weight of their own baggage to the point where they can be finished off easily and/or dispersed. Your statement that members of the groups offered were killed or imprisoned doesn't disprove that notion. My little exercise was simply curiosity about your point. The author's premise seems plausible. It's not something that a quick google will answer but rather requires a profound knowledge of the subject. So my little curiosity will have to remain unsated.
