You are forgetting things the UN inspectors documented, the disposition of which was never told. That alone is justification for Bush to say we KNOW these things exist. Hans remembers. Before the war in Iraq, your notion that we couldn't be sure was in fact spoken loudly enough to have become common public knowledge. Bush, Clinton, and just tons of folks...read John Kerry sounding as sure as Bush ever did publicly, for instance... and you will honestly know Bush didn't intend to lie to anyone anymore than Kerry did. Therefore, neither man lied on this subject, and neither intended to mislead. We now know that Saddam did NOT know how little he had, as his own folks were lying to him (this rather different than your notion that Saddam willingly abandoned his desires).
