That is the cargo volume, 3200 cubic metres.

The Helium is 450,000 cubic metres. This volume would lift about 448 metric tonnes or the airship and 160 tonnes.

hoo-hah!

Would a 20,000 ton lifter be practical? Well, it might blot out the sun for considerable periods where it was parked and neighbours might complain. It would be 100 times more volume, but only 4.63 times longer and wider, and 21 times more expensive than the German design. Scale considerations might prevent its building as the load bearing surfaces would have to be 5 times stronger per unit area.
