Population growth in many populous countries in Africa and Asia mostly muslim have a population growth of over 2% to 2.5% a YEAR ... add to this prolonged life expectancy of 5 to 10 years and you get a population explosion. Most of those countries have not enough fertile land to produce food not to mention clean water. See Yemen 3.42% Egypt 1.9% Sudan Nigeria 2.3% all Middle East Pakistan,2.3% Bangladesh, 2% Indonesia Malaysia etc. Plus add to that the improvement in life standards in India China et – al ..... for each pound of beef you need 4 to 7 pounds of grains this will result in tremendous pressure on food commodities as you can live without a car but not without eating or drinking
