I dont know anything about this geneology stuff, what do you mean about I should write it up? Actually many Hessian Soldiers accepted land grants in Westmoreland County Pa. The reason they were offered was because that was INDIAN country then. The country was basically English. The theory was the Hessians (professional soldiers) would kill off the Indians but in the process be killed off themselves and the English Americans could move in and take over. Lucky for me, mine survived. jdn

Most interesting, and especially the Library Catalog (these are not all the books at the site---just the ones added in the last few years, but still remarkable so far! Also, check out the GRC (Genealogical Records Committee) listings...This is an amazing project, and hopefully one will be able to find some additional family info from!

These records were added by DAR ladies, but the names are not necessarily DAR, but rather all names in different areas that were in letters, bible records, cemeteries that have been indexed, etc.
