Redfish, a couple of observations.

He should provide the lead to the world community to pursue "terrorists" (not just islamic terrroists).

A leader commands respect from his peers. Bush is no leader. They were not about ready to listen to Bush as they knew that Bush had a hidden agenda. He failed to get their trust and hence lost their respect.

Hence Kerry should first earn and establish the trust of the world leaders. Then he could provide the lead for the world to go after terrorists. If he proceeds in this fashion, then we can be sure that things that happened with the Spanish elections will not happen again.
