Mike, have to admit, from afar I've detested T.O. !

Not what I believe a "professional" should be in a team environment.

On the other hand, this was a great move for the Birds and really one they had to make.

I think T.O. is smart enough to know he can't punk Donovan like he did Garcia; the national media and Philly's finest would rip him a new one.

I also believe he does respect Reid; you just know Andy laid out the rules far in advance.

So, it's worth the gamble.

Ironic the public image he deservedly has; those closest to him in many ways respect his talents and desire to win.

i am as Happy as Clam at HighTide.
And i hope the press conference etc. showed that T.O. has had an over-reported media obsession about Bad Guy T.O---i myself hear the media on a T.O. feeding party of the past, and saying 'gees that T.O is an awful person.'
He is a hyper passionate over the top guy between the lines but outside the stadium he is a real quality guy.
I was very impressed at the manner he supported and even gave pep talks to his agent when he could EASILY have had a tantrum and really kicked the guy.
That shows a good-heartedness and calm under pressure.
On the field, we have a Jeremiah Shockey type personality BUT without Shockey's STUPID penalties.
His work ethic is legendary and the fact is the 49er organization has been going downhill FAST, so we can't say it was all T.O. that was wrong in S.F. land, for sure.
And heck Andy even admitted he sort of enjoyed his "Pom-Poms" episode.
Garcia got arrested for DUI at a very high 0.237 on Monday for what it is worth( sentence pretty stiff--but no jail time--but rehab is in his sentence).
Who knows the guy might have a problem, and for sometime---that is a big number to have on a DUI, that is BLOTTO level.
I can now remove my Bye Bye despair--i am a Bi-Polar fan.:)
Regards draft i am thinking CB and LB for the top picks.
Talk is McDougle might really blossom this year after playing with that high sprain all season.
p.s T.O. said he sees D-Mac like a Steve Young and that he and Young clicked real well.
