No, I'm not rich, but I am comfortable -- and worked damn hard to get here. And I do have some retirement savings I don't want to have taxed into oblivion before I can retire.

I don't worry about the draft -- my son is already in the military.

You say that Kerry could bring a change, but you don't give any particulars. And no, Kerry is no Clinton. Clinton had three things going for him that Kerry doesn't. First, though he was immoral as hell, he was smart. Two, he had a charisma that could get people doing things that they wouldn't do for most other people. (Too bad he used it on women so often.) Third, he had been a governor and shown that he knew how to adminster, govern, delegate, budget, and accept final responsibility. Three things that Kerry doesn't have.

And he could play a mean sax, which IMO is a lot more valuable a skill than slapping a hockey puck around.

Kerry might well do better than Bush would over the next four years. But give me some concrete reasons to believe so. Don't just keep repeating that he will do it without giving any basis for the belief.

Unless, of course, you agree that there ARE no concrete reasons to believe Kerry would be better than Bush, and it's just a matter of faith, or a matter of thinking Bush is so bad that anybody, even Sharpton, would be better. In either of which cases, it makes sense for you not even to try to make a positive case for Kerry.
