An auto executive should kick this stuff out of the lab and onto the streets

and get sued for gazillion dollars because "the camera didn't tell me that there was a car in that lane, it's not my fault, it's the car's fault". active systems generate new liability and till that liability is resolved somehow, they won't be implemented (just imnsho of course).
