Check out Kerry's website for openers:

johnkerry.com

I think it's important that we all follow Kerry through these next few months to see what he will be presenting to us as his plan for this country to move ahead ( instead of going backwards like we are currently).

Specifics are important and I will expect that of Kerry as we get close to the conventions.

WHen Kerry was in Vietnam he turned his escaping boat around and went back into hostile fire to save the life of a fellow soldier. Kerry risked his life and made that decision "while under fire" so I think that incident bodes well for his innate character. Basically, he's a good man who makes the right decisions while under severe pressure.

He has said he feels Bush was reckless in his invasion of Iraq without a coalition of UN countries. Kerry claims he would use the resources of the UN to stabilize Iraq and give our own military some relief.

Kerry also favors quality healthcare for all citizens. How whe will achieve that remains to be revealed.

Keep watching this thread and you will learn much more about Kerry and will get a chance to read about both sides of the debate.

You are so right, Amy J.

How 'bout YOU start?

What precisely are YOU doing to "change things?"

Have you "sent in" your hard questions to the candidates?

Let us know the results after you conduct the "interview."

johnkerry.com - basically JK is about honesty and taking the country back from the corporate interests, also moving fast-forward on the environment (mainly getting off oil as our main fuel which will take awhile but but will eb worth it), balancing budgets, reversing Bush's giveawsays to the rich to take care of the health care crisis, cringing down health care costs, stopping the new expensive arms race, taking care of our soldiers and veterans not just defense contractors, helping kids ready to earn it with education, bringing our allies back into our camp with us as the leader but them as definite partners, getting us out of Iraq smart and safe with UN and NATO cooperation, getting at the root causes of terrorism as well as killing the top terrorists etc. Finally, bringing back bipartisanship by working with GOP moderates and hoping the GOP cleans up its act and bounces the harsh rightwing extremists.
