Theres news that make the headlines - like the one you pointed out. Theres other news that makes a difference, like jobs or lack of it.

Had forgotten that, and agree. 3 days were no where enough for the shock to settle in. It took my husband nearly a week after the attack to drive home from Texas, as the planes were totally grounded for days. He and his business group just thought it would be quicker, as they already had a rental car. Turns out that was right as well....there was a definite lack of rental cars at the airports as well at that time. Spain and Europe will rue the day they return to appeasement, IMO. These murderers have already spoken as to their intent. For the life of me, I don't understand why some/many? folks think that "they must mean something else, or they must mean someone else, they couldn't mean me or mine"......
