Are we supposed to dislike Kerry because he has a nice place to take a vacation? Good point. I can't say that I am particularly agitated about Kerry's wealth and I do agree with you that the focus should be on the content of his message. However, given that the American people are still trying to figure out who John Kerry is, it strikes me as a strategic error. If I were him I would probably be holed up in a Motel 6. In a warm climate, of course.
