Ted, Re: <This poll makes sense. I have never understood the chorus of complaints coming out of Iraq.>

I'm frankly amazed at some of the answers.

I'm not.

Think about it logically. The Iraqis are not stupid........they are some of the best educated people in the ME. For one hundred years they have been either a colony or under a dictatorship. For the first time, they have a chance at self rule.

For over ten years, they have been under UN sanctions.......pushed down into abject poverty. That's over......they can make money. A favorite past time in the ME.

And what is it costing them? Very few of their men are fighting the war. We claim there will be cost remunerations but frankly, I don't think its likely. We are infusing millions into their economy and life is going back to normal albeit with the unexpected bombings from time to time.

And they are free. What's not to like?

A couple of other stunners, were Q9, where only 12% felt it was up to coalition, or the US to provide scurity. Ted, get over there and straighten those people out. It is Bush's fault, and the bastards actually blame their own gov. and security forces. Another was only a small minority want an Islamic ruler.
