I guess you were.

I never said that the Socialists had won by a landslide so I am not sure your point. The Socialists only won 20 more seats in Parliament and will have to form an alliance with another party in order to rule.

In fact, neither party is that dominant......much like the US. I had pointed out on a couple of occasions that at their best, the PP was only 3-5% ahead of the Socialists and that that gap was closing in the final week of the election. Three to five percent is within the normal statistical margin for error. The election was really a toss up with the PP having a slight edge. The surprise was that the Socialists won decisively and not by a landslide.
