This is an approach that past GOP presidents could not live by and I doubt that future ones can either. The ME screwed with our oil supply in the '70s. John Re...We can leave them alone and still buy their oil. Are you sure, and would you bet the lives of millions of people on it. Not my point. If we quit meddling in their affairs, are we still a target? Yes. There are a lot of counties who haven't meddled, and have been hit. Secondly, it isn't the meddling so much, as the fact that westernization exists, it cause people to want things, not allowed by Islam, and America is the foremost symbol of westernization. For instance, yesterday, France got a terrorist warning. What did poor Chirac do, but take millions in bribes, to stop the US war against terrorism, yet the terrorists have tried to poisen the Paris water supply with ricin, blow up the eiffel tower, and yesterday, France was warned of another attack.
