If the 60s left was really honest with themselves,

If they were honest with themselves, there would be a lot more regret over the people they let do things and propose things. I notice that the Vietnam Veterans story about killing some Senators has disappeared. Lets hope some reporters are working on it.

Kerry wasn't really "for" or "against" the VN war. When the tide suited his "JFK-lookalike" ambitions, he got behind a rifle on a boat for a bit. When the public tide turned to a FondaPopulist notion that would further his political ambitions, so did he — which, for the specific moment may have been a smart political move, but further down the road one can see that his only true convictions — those which he feels down in the deepest of his soul — are Gallup-based plus or minus a few points. On some street corners, you can rent those same deeply heart-felt convictions and a handjob for $25. Frankly, I'd rather take the latter and skip the rest of the campaign BS. Kerry is better represented by dropping the whole Democrat thing and (instead) running under the Bambi ticket. Or Trixie.

"Call me a sixties guy but i find something profoundly immoral in going to fight a war you were dead against for future personal gain. Maybe i missed something when i studied the nurenberg trials regarding personal responsiblity for ones actions."
