Anyone who "thought" A-Q is politically dense...if this request is true...should dissuad one otherwise

Well, I did think that AQ was politically dense, after two years of watching them blow up random nightclubs and synagogues. This Spanish operation is so different that I seriously wonder if it's being done by the same people.

That letter will backfire. If you've made someone a lapdog, it's better to keep them thinking it was their own idea. When you call attention to your actions in that decision, you run the human psyche guantlet that the lapdog will reverse their decision, either by their own cognizance or by peer pressure, which recognizes the lapdog state. The lapdog will better defend itself to your needs if left alone to rationalize such a position. No one likes to see their own leash in the mirror.

But then, AQ also underestimated the response to WTC — to a wide degree. It is these exhibitions of arrogance that will seal AQ's destiny. Eventually. Probably more bodies required, unfortunately. High-ticket items like the Olympics. But I'm glad they wrote the letter &#151 for its unintended consequences.
