Perle wouldnt go on with Holbrook on hardball tonight. Perle was very poor alone with chris. Holbrook was alot better. Holbrook said that now that we are in the mess, both kerry and bush will see it thru because we cannot afford to lose there. Naturally he thought kerry would do a better job. Kerrys next job is to come up with a stick to it, program that is better than bushes in both iraq and afganistan. What could that involve?
Seeing cheney today make his speech while that hotel was in flames was not encouraging to me who has been a supported. I cant even imagine what the ordinary american thinks about this anymore. Frankly i hope kerry can come up with moderate positions that have a chance for success. Bush does not instill confidence anymore. This is a lousy situation getting lousier each day. Mike

I beg to differ. I live in Virginia and if the sampling of my colleagues is an indicator, I see an erosion of support for Bush. Among my circle about 6 people voted for Bush. This year they plan to vote anybody but Bush (they did not care if Kerry or anyone would have been the nominee) mainly because of the War.
The only conclusion I can draw is that the election will be a referendum against Dumbya.
Demographics by age group does not support Bush either. All new college grads and first time voters, new immigrants are heavily tilted against Bush. I expect Bush to be defeated unless Kerry turns out to be a bigger doofus than dumboos.
