Cebit starts today and Novell/SuSE is unveiling their desktop solutions. This is the first microsoft replacement desktop that is backed by a mainstream vendor so there should be some traction. $89 and $29 for the enterprise vs. single user (home) desktop.

As a minimum, mainstream supported Linux availability should provide some downward pressure in msft products. WinXP is still almost $200 retail last I looked, too high. And office is really out there.
