Let's face it. Arabs stand out like a sore thumb in the U.S.

Honestly, just looking at a person's face, I would have a hard time telling you whether he is an Arab, an Iranian, a Turk, an Afghani, a Turkoman, an Azerbaijani, a Georgian, an Indian, a Sikh, possibly even Sicilian, French or Spanish or Sephardic Jew. Nor can I tell whether the language spoken is Arabic or anything else.

So, not all people have your wonderful ability to identifying Arabs from the get-go.

With respect to searching "non-Arabs," a few years ago a search of a pregnant Irish woman trying to board a plane turned up a bomb tucked into her bag (unbeknownst to her) by her erstwhile lover, an Arab (I think Egyptian.)

Giving "non-Arabs" an automatic "pass" is suicide.

BTW, many Arabs are Christians. But you of course knew that, you were just pretending that Arabs per se are the problem, right?
