I think it is not possible to affirm that.

The crack-boom is happening and will intensify as you convincingly suggested.

This will lead to global mess, closures and lowering of demand. The strongest will survive and prices will come down after thet have down the damage. This could be a tornado or a huricane as you said. Things could be back to normal very soon if it is a tornado.
