That's a fascinating quote. Prior to 9-11 and Bush's reaction, from an Islamic extremist perspective, that's exactly what was occurring. As part of the emerging world culture the Margaret Mead talked about, the Arab culture was under sever strain. It wasn't competing well with modernity, and the Arab youth were turning away from "the old ways". All blasphemy to the fundamentalist. Of course blundering Bush and his Keystone Kop Kabal have changed much of that. JMO lurqer
