The rising flood of genuine outrage from Vietnam veterans is a developing story that many in the liberal media simply do not have the guts to cover because, for many of them, Vietnam too was the crucible that defined their world views. To come face to face with the reality that their most cherished assumptions about war and peace were built, partly or wholly, on blatant lies by people like Kerry is probably just too much for them to handle. They would rather fight the technicolor versions of Vietnam over and over and over again. Just like Kerry.
